Perry Edinger, PA is a valuable member of the team of medical specialists at Urgently Ortho.  He treats patients with a wide range of complications of the Lower extremity, shoulder, and elbow.  He focuses on recovery but also the development of strength and flexibility for injury prevention.   An experienced long distance runner, he specializes in the treatment of endurance athletes.  He provides personalized care to each patient and believes in a positive, supportive approach.

Perry’s education, training and work experience provide the foundation for his work at Urgently Ortho.    He completed his undergraduate degree at Eastern Illinois University in health and physical education with a specialization in Athletic Training.  He has a graduate degree in health education from Syracuse University and from AT Still University as a Physician Assistant.

Perry has worked as an Athletic Trainer at several schools and was the Director of Sports Medicine for Arizona State University for many years.  He continues to serve ASU as a consultant to track and field athletes and as the medical spotter for all ASU football contests.  He also works as an independent certified Athletic Trainer and a lead advisory panel member for the National Football League.  His role is to identify and communicate potentially harmful injury situations during football games.  Perry has worked as a Physician Assistant at several locations in the Phoenix area.  At Phoenix Children’s Hospital he specialized in pediatric sports medicine and orthopedic care.  At North Valley Emergency Specialists he worked in the emergency room and at The Orthopedic Clinic Association he worked with adult orthopedic patients.   At Honor Health he treats trauma patients in Neurosurgery and assists in surgery and subsequent care.  Perry continues to follow advances in his field to expand his medical knowledge and better serve his patients.  He has participated in numerous research projects and has given many lectures.

Perry is an avid runner and values the exhilaration of running.  He has experience as a college athlete, an endurance runner, and  a coach to other runners.  He has won awards and has participated in many races including marathons and ultramarathons.  He encourages a healthy, active lifestyle and loves to help others improve the quality of their life.  Perry has been actively involved in the Phoenix community for many years. He is the founder and original race director for Pat’s Run—a fundraising and awareness event for the Pat Tillman Foundation. The 4.2 mile event has grown to include 35,000 runners and many thousands of spectators each spring.  Money raised from the race allows Veterans to continue their education.

Perry is married and has two children who keep him very busy.
